I remember my first valentine's day clebration when I was in class eight..I was like a kid.I spent forty rupees on a cheese cottage pizza and that money was borrowed from one of my elder brother.Almost five people had that pizza...I exactly don't remember the gift which I have given to my valentine then but it meant a lot.
Time changed and I moved from a small city to the capital of India.Every year valentine's day was celebrated with much more enthusiasm especially in my hostel where boys and gals stayed together. There V day gave me enough reason to booze and we all single guys partied and danced a lot. Some of our she friends out of sympathy or whatever shook legs with us and I felt satisfied with it.I kind of re assured myself that some day I would also celebrate this festival of love.So many fantasies were associated with it when I was a student.I always have a very soft approach towards love and love birds.I feel I am more of a revolutionary than a centrist in this not so blind stuff called love.
V day is still celebrated like a sacred festival in this consumerist world. It feels good to see couples shopping, asking platinum rather than gold and the poor guy doesnot think twice because love is such a delicate subject.Bigger rather costlier is the gift, the more love is between two love birds.Fortunately I never confronted such type of situation.
I had my own share of sweet and sour story related to this day but for me V day was just a usual day...Now time has changed, priorties have changed so much so that it seems that money is sweeter than honey(... ......).
Long live St.Valentine!!!I honestly wish I could contribute something on this V day..Be it anything.I want to get into this market as well...
