Corporate social responisblity and its agenda.

Corporate Social Responsibility as an expression was used perhaps for the first time in 1953 when Bowen raised the question “What responsibility to Society can business people be reasonably expected to assure”. “Corporate social responsibility” as we all know it as corporate responsibility, corporate conscience, Corporate citizenship, responsible business, sustainable responsible business but I know it as "Corporate capital responsibility" where capital is accumulated in the garb of Social responsibility.CSR represents the overall onus of common people where the capital is accumulated for no social responsibility rather for their own development. These companies pollute so much that in Indian context more than 60% of people still remain below 1 dollar per day income. This is the irony of our so called welfare state "India".
Can you imagine that in overall measurable index be it corruption ,growth we lag far behind..Is this the CSR revolution or pollution in India? Our country saw its economic growth in 90’s but nothing much have changed. The story of infiltration, naxalism is still rife with the headlines. Why is it so? So don’t you think this concept is crap...People at upper strata just think about this state of India and feel sympathetic drinking wine. Also these MNC organise so many things for poor people and I have been a part of it but it’s just a sham.
CSR is fake in every way atleast in India .It’s just a way to show that the compny is concerned about the common"Janta" read as people. No body cares though.I think I am writing all this because I do fall into the same class the great Indian middle class where we are trapped in a quagmire called dream. CSR is just a fake solidarity for the common people nothing more than that in today’s world.
Somewhere I feel rather I am convinced that it’s the government mercenary as well who endorse it but does nothing for the citizen otherwise more than 400 million people wouldnot be spending their life for petty one dollar. How does it feel to talk and being sympathetic about those who have nothing to lose except for one dollar!! This is the irony of our country.
Milton Friedman wrote in his famous 1970’s article in The New York Times Magazine, that “the one and only social responsibility do we ever follow is ability of business, is to increase profits for shareholders. This holds true for one and every one. I have a question for you and all those sympathetic people. CSR is more like a propaganda.
